Description: CONSULTING ASSIGNMENT FOR SURVEY SERVICES ON AN EMERGENT BASIS
Metrolinx is accepting bids (“Requests”) for the provision of surveying services as more particularly described in this Request Document as required by Metrolinx, which work relates to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
Mandatory Site Meeting: Not Applicable

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Only Consultants who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:
- The Consultant shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Geodetic and Tunnel Surveying including:
(i) Design, measurement and adjustment of 1st and/ or Special Order horizontal and vertical geodetic network surveys;
(ii) Least Square adjustment of complex networks including Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Total Station and Precise vertical leveling networks;
(iii) Precision tunnel surveying during construction for tunnels exceeding two (2) km’s in length;
(iv) Tunnel as-built surveys using HDS scanning or alternate technology; and
(v) Precise surveying, data processing and verification for monitoring the settlement of building, surface, utility and monitoring points.
b. The Consultant shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Property Surveying including:
(i) Property Research in the Land Registry Office;
(ii) Online Property Research including TeraView, COSINE, LSR & AOLS SRI databases;
(iii) Property Mapping including the compliation of digital property mapping ; and
(iv) Property surveying for the preparation of Reference Plans, Property Plans, Expropriation Plans and Strata Plans.
c. The Consultant shall have a minimum five (5) years’ experience in Construction Surveying including:
(i) Construction control for the placement of benchmarks and control monuments for use by contractors;
(ii) Construction layout prior to construction;
(iii) Utility surveying and mapping;
(iv) Verification of the contractor’s layout prior to construction; and
(v) As-built surveys.
