PRE-NOTICE: Request for Proposal for Employee Benefits Plan

Metrolinx is undertaking the largest transportation investment in Ontario’s history to get you where you need to go better, faster, easier, while also operating GO Transit, UP Express and PRESTO. We have a unique opportunity to plan, build, operate and connect transportation in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
Metrolinx currently provides Employee Benefits coverage to approximately 5,500 employees and retirees as well as to their spouses and eligible dependants. Metrolinx will be seeking one or more Insurance Carriers to provide comprehensive Employee Benefit plan services for Basic Life, Dependent Life, Supplemental Life, Long Term Disability, Supplementary Health, Vision & Hearing, and Dental benefits. Plan services include insurance coverage, claims management and adjudication support, employee, and policyholder administration tools and services, and client support services.
Metrolinx anticipates issuing a single RFP with two (2) Categories, of which Insurance Carriers can could elect submit a proposal for either Category or both.
a) Group Life and LTD Benefits;
b) Health and Dental Benefits
Proposed Issuance:
Metrolinx anticipates that the Request for Proposal will be issued early June 2022. Interested proponents are encouraged to monitor the MERX website for additional information relating to this proposed procurement.
The selected proponent(s) under the Request for Proposals will be required to enter into a non-exclusive agreement with Metrolinx for the provision of the services.
