Metrolinx is issuing this Request to Qualify and Quote to retain the services of a Vendor to provide the goods and/or services described herein.
Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for the provision of the Technical Advisory services for the Hamilton LRT Project.
Metrolinx is a crown agency of the Government of Ontario under the Metrolinx Act, 2006, reporting to the Ministry of Transportation. It was created to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The Metrolinx mandate includes delivering the best possible transportation services today while leading the way to an even better, more convenient service tomorrow; making the best possible use of public transportation investment dollars; and measurably improving the quality of life in the region.
The Hamilton LRT is a 14-kilometre light rail transit line to be located entirely within Hamilton, Ontario running west-east from McMaster University along Main Street West, King Street West, King Street East, Main Street East, and Queenston Road to Eastgate Square. The main objectives of the LRT line are to focus and accommodate future growth and development, to offer more efficient transportation options, and catalyze and attract economic development. The line will be serviced by new and modern light rail vehicles (LRV) on tracks separated from regular traffic. The project is the first piece of a broader rapid transit strategy for Hamilton and a priority project in Metrolinx’s 2041 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
The tender documents for RQQ-2022-RPDT-702, “Request Document RQQ-2022-RPDT-702” and “Request Document Forms RQQ-2022-RPDT-702”, are password protected. All Proponents must complete and sign the “Confidentiality Agreement - RQQ-2022-RPDT-702”, and forward it to the Procurement Specialist via email to obtain the password. Only vendors who provide a signed NDA will gain access to the Tender documents.
Deadline to sign and submit Confidentiality Agreement is on September 12, 2022 before 3:00p.m. Toronto, Ontario Time .
ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on November 2, 2022 Toronto, Ontario Time .
