Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for Surveying Services for Property Acquisitions.
Metrolinx is a crown agency of the Government of Ontario under the Metrolinx Act, 2006, reporting to the Ministry of Transportation. It was created to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The Metrolinx mandate includes delivering the best possible transportation services today while leading the way to an even better, more convenient service tomorrow; making the best possible use of public transportation investment dollars; and measurably improving the quality of life in the region.
Metrolinx’s Property Acquisitions (MPA) department within the Capital Projects Group (CPG) has overall accountability to Metrolinx’s Executive Management team for real estate deliverables. Property Acquisitions is responsible for the provision of real estate advice, associated services, and delivery of property for all projects within the Capital Projects Group in Metrolinx. MPA requires the professional surveyors' services to reduce the legal and financial risks to Metrolinx by defining the extent of real property that is the subject of planned acquisition activity as part of due diligence required under the Corporate Real Estate Policy. If expropriation occurs, an Expropriation Plan signed by a professional land surveyor will be registered in the land registry office within three months after approval by the expropriation authority, as mandated in the Expropriation Acts.
The objective of this Request to Qualify and Quote (RQQ) is to solicit proposals from Proponents for the provision of the Surveying Services on as needed basis over a two-year term with three additional option years which will be exercisable at Metrolinx’s sole discretion. The requirements are more particularly described in Scope of Work of this Request Document.

Submission using Metrolinx MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Only Proponents who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:
- Ten (10) years of experience in providing real estate surveying in the province of Ontario;
- Five (5) years of experience in public real estate, transportation, public infrastructure surveying projects
Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
