MERX Pre-Notice of Upcoming RFP for the Supply and Installation of LCD Monitors

Background
Metrolinx will release a Request for Proposal on or around July 2017 for the provision of Supply and Install of LCD Monitors.
Metrolinx is implementing a new digital signage system to provide customer with information to enhance our customer service. The new digital signage system requires the installation of LCD monitors both indoor and outdoor. The LCD monitors will be installed along rail platforms, inside and outside station buildings, and at various other locations at stations, terminals and parking lots. Metrolinx has developed detailed specifications for the LCD monitors that are required to be integrated into Metrolinx digital signage system.
The objective of this Request for Proposal is to acquire LCD monitors for a project that will upgrade and add new LCD monitor screens to the Metrolinx GO stations, terminals and parking lots. The LCD monitor screens will be used to display information to Metrolinx customer including trip information, advertising and infotainment. The project will run for five years starting in 2017/2018.
The successful proponent will act as a service provider to supply, install, and provide the associated maintenance services for the LCD monitors to the Metrolinx GO Stations, terminals and parking lots.
