MERX Pre-Notice Strategic Sourcing Partnership for I&IT programs:
Metrolinx, an agency of the Government of Ontario, oversees the delivery of the best possible transportation services today while leading the way to even better, more convenient services tomorrow. Metrolinx is making the best possible use of the public transportation investment dollar and measurably improving the quality of life in our region.
To achieve the capacity, agility and scale required to handle the increased demand for Information & Information Technology (“I&IT”) services, the I&IT organization at Metrolinx is looking to broker specific capabilities for I&IT programs and managed services through a Strategic Sourcing Partnership (“SSP”) program externally through a 3-stage Collaborative Procurement Process (“CPP”).
Metrolinx will host a Bidders' Conference to provide further information regarding this CPP to interested proponents. This conference will be held at 97 Front St. W., Toronto in the Peter Smith Boardroom on Thursday, October 19th from 9am to 10:30am. To register for this Bidders' Conference, please contact the Metrolinx Contact Person identified below by noon on Friday, October 13th. When registering for the Bidders' Conference, interested proponents may also request an individual meeting with Metrolinx to occur following the Bidders' Conference.
Following the Bidders’ Conference, Metrolinx anticipates that a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to select three (3) Strategic Sourcing Partners (SSPs) will be issued in November of 2017. The selected proponents under the RFP will be required to enter into a non-exclusive agreement with Metrolinx for the provision of the services. Please be advised that the RFP will include minimum requirements for potential proponents.
Additional Information:
This pre-notice does not constitute a binding commitment on the part of Metrolinx to issue any or all of the referenced Request for Proposals or to proceed with any or all of the contemplated work.
