Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of Metrolinx Merx website portal. Proponents shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using the Metrolinx Merx website portal by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Proponents.
Proponents should possess the following experience and qualifications in order to be considered for the Work. Please refer to Submission Requirements for more details.
I) The necessary resources to sustain and complete the Work to the satisfaction of Metrolinx;
II) Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil, shoring, retaining walls, earthworks and grading in rail and transit construction projects;
III) Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience of working in an active Class 1 rail corridor environment;
IV) Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience of working in within an active public infrastructure facility (ie: transit station) with construction concurrent to operations;
V) Demonstrated experience designing and constructing railway pedestrian tunnels and transit stations in the last five (5) years
VI) Demonstrated experience working on projects where adjoining properties and the surrounding community may be sensitive to the Work to be provided, and a demonstrated ability to address concerns promptly and fairly;
VII) Demonstrated experience working with utilities companies and municipal or provincial regulatory bodies to obtain permits required for the Work.
VIII) Working with utility companies to protect and relocate underground and overhead utilities;
IX) Working with municipalities to modify road carrying structures; and
X) Working with Conservation Authorities.
XI) Demonstrated work experience designing, obtaining approvals for water, storm water and sanitary lines in the City of Toronto
The Proponent must include the following documents in their Prequalification Submission:
(a)Safety certifications:
(i) CORTM Certified status with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA);
(ii) OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 certification; or
(iii) Out-of-Province COR™ Reciprocity (for bidding purposes only) through IHSA
(b) The Proponent must provide the required Certificate of Publication of Substantial Performance to demonstrate that they have successfully completed construction work within an active rail corridor environment in the last five (5) years for at least one Project involving a pedestrian tunnel installation or pedestrian tunnel extension.
(c) The Proponent must provide the required Certificate of Publication of Substantial Performance to demonstrate that they have successfully completed construction work of similar scope and complexity including installation of engineered shoring and retaining walls, within an active rail corridor environment in the last five (5) years.
Only those Proponents that Metrolinx has determined in its sole discretion as qualified based on the Evaluation Criteria stated herein, will be added to the Metrolinx Prequalified List of Contractors for the for Stage 2 Invitational Procurement(s).
