Metrolinx is accepting Tenders for Humber River Bridge Erosion Restoration and Scour Protection, M.9.60 Weston Subdivision, Kitchener Corridor
A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2430 Weston Road (located at Weston Road and Oak Street)
Bidders are to enter past the gate and park inside of the compound.
Failure of Bidder to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from bidding.
Bidders must wear hard hats, safety footwear, safety vests and have safety glasses with them at the site meeting. Failure to satisfy these requirements will result in exclusion from the site.
Each Tender must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $100,000.00 in the form of a bid bond or certified cheque payable to Metrolinx.
ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Only Bidders who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:
- The Bidder shall have achieved CORTM “Registered” status with IHSA;
- The Bidder shall have satisfactorily self-performed a minimum of two (2) projects in an active Railway Right of Way
- The Bidder or its designated Subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed a minimum of (2) projects installing Armour Stone retaining wall structures
- The Bidder or its designated Subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed a minimum of three (3) projects similar in scope, value and complexity which collectively demonstrate the Bidder or its Subcontractor have worked with a Conservation Authority (for example Toronto Regional Conservation Authority), in projects involving environmental sensitivities (for example “In Water Works” using pumps, Cofferdam construction and filtration systems)
- The Bidder or its designated Subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed a minimum of three (3) projects similar in scope and complexity which collectively demonstrate the Bidder or its Subcontractor have completed projects involving slope stability by means of soil nailing techniques, and erosion blankets; and
- the physical and financial resources to sustain and complete the Work.
Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders at its sole discretion.
