Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for Septic System Renovation, Aberfoyle Bus Facility

Please respond with intend to bid via Merx.

A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at Aberfoyle GO Bus Garage, 7471 McLean Rd, Guelph, ON – N1H 6H9 on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. (EST)

Failure of Bidders to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from the procurement process.

Bidders must wear hard hats, safety boots, safety vests and have safety glasses with them at the site meeting. Failure to satisfy these requirements will result in exclusion from the site.

Please be advised that, as per the October 1, 2019 changes to the Construction Act, RSO 1990, c C30, the Terms and Conditions in the Form of Tender for this solicitation contain new requirements.

Each Submission must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $ 100,000 in the form of a bid bond or certified cheque payable to Metrolinx.

ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on May 11, 2022, Toronto, Ontario Time.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MetrolinxMERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MetrolinxMERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Only Bidders who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:

1. 1. Satisfactorily completed five (5) contracts for work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract";
  2. The Bidder, or its designated Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving Demolition work similar value, size and complexity to the Work of this Contract.
  3. The Bidder, or its designated Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving Civil work similar value, size and complexity to the Work of this Contract.
  4. The Bidder, or its designated Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving Mechanical work similar value, size and complexity to the Work of this Contract.
  5. The Bidder, or its designated Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving Electrical work similar value, size and complexity to the Work of this Contract.
  6. The Bidder, or its designated Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving Grading work similar value, size and complexity to the Work of this Contract.
  7. The Bidder, or its designated Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving Sewage System work similar value, size and complexity to the Work of this Contract.
  8. achieved at least 1 of the following safety requirements:
    1. COR™ Certified status with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA); or
    2. ISO 45001 certification; or
    3. Out-of-Province COR™ Reciprocity (for bidding purposes only) through IHSA. For more information on COR™ Reciprocity please reference the IHSA website at https://www.ihsa.ca.
  9. i. The Bidder or it’s designated subcontractor, shall be a Licensed Sewage System Installer with a valid Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Building Code Identification Number (BCIN), that the Bidder has:
1. 1. 1. The Bidder or it’s designated Subcontractor shall provide BCIN.
    2. The Bidder or it’s designated Subcontractor shall also be an authorized Waterloo Biofilter System Installer.
    3. The Bidder or it’s designated Subcontractor that are not on the Quarts website at (https://www.quarts.mah.gov.on.ca/BCINSearchWeb/search.html) and Waterloo Biofilter website at (https://waterloo-biofilter.com/authorized-installers/), may result in your submission being declared non-compliant and disqualified.

Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
