Metrolinx is accepting Requests for Information (RFI) for LED Displays
Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario and oversees GO Transit, PRESTO, Regional Express Rail (RER) and the Union Pearson Express (UPE). Our goal is to create a transportation network that enhances the prosperity, sustainability and quality of life for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
The GO Transit system currently has digital signs at some tunnel and platform entrances at rail stations, however, many other identified locations still do not have digital signage installed. In support of Metrolinx’s commitment to provide its customers with schedule information when and where they need it, the need exists for new platform signs in the form of LED electronic signage. Installation of new platform signs is intended for various locations outside stations including, station entrances and GO Bus bays.
Digital signage will provide both schedule and real-time departure information to GO passengers on a daily basis. Metrolinx services departure information will be updated constantly throughout each day.
Metrolinx is seeking information to understand its options for LED display technology currently available in the marketplace to fit the intended solution. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to invite responses from capable and interested vendors to provide information on their LED display products.

It is the Proponent’s responsibility to ensure receipt of copies of all addenda issued. Information concerning the number of addenda issued and the date of issue of the most recent addendum can be found at www.merx.com.
Responses to the Request for Information will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. EST on November 15th, 2016 through Electronic Bid Submission (EBS) at MERX.
