Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for Platform Rehabilitation & Shelter Replacements at Oshawa and Scarborough GO Stations
The Work includes but is not limited to the replacement of five (5) platform shelters and rehabilitation of platform at Oshawa GO Station and only platform rehabilitation at Scarborough GO Station.
The shelter replacements shall also include the removal of the existing shelters, concrete pads, minor asphalt removals, installation of reinforcements and pouring for new concrete pads, installation of new shelters and associated accessories, utility trenching, conduit installation and connections, installation of handwells, connection to communications and electrical rooms, and other items described on the drawings.
Platform rehabilitation at Oshawa GO also includes mini-platform handrail replacement. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing handrail, chipping away the minimal amount of concrete to complete this removal. The Contractor shall install dowel into the existing concrete mini-ramp when forming back concrete for the new handrail.
Scarborough GO Station works involve only asphalt resurfacing of the walkway behind the south platform. This includes the removal of existing asphalt, minor grading with Granular ‘A’, asphalt resurfacing, and line painting.

Each Submission must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $100,000 in the form of a bid bond or certified cheque payable to Metrolinx.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MetrolinxMERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MetrolinxMERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Only Bidders who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:
- satisfactorily completed contracts for work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract"; and
- achieved at least one (1) of the following safety requirements:
- COR™ Certified status with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA); or
- ISO 45001 certification; or
- Out-of-Province COR™ Reciprocity (for bidding purposes only) through IHSA. For more information on COR™ Reciprocity please reference the IHSA website at https://www.ihsa.ca.
Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
